7/1/20212021 CYDSL Summer Season - Rules, Rosters, Waivers
3/23/2021Open Gym - Bring Your Own Five Night

Open Gym: Friday's open will be "Bring Your Own Five Night" at Westside Community Church In order to participate, you must have a team of five players (not 3 or 4 or 6 or 7). Each team will pay $30 in advance, by 8pm Thursday night, either in person on Wednesday night during open gym, or through Cash App. Participants who do not register by the deadline will not be allowed to participate in open gym Friday night. I'm only accepting 10 teams, no individuals. Once all teams have registered and paid, I will create a schedule (non king of the court style), that will allow each team to play five games under our open gym rules. The team that wins the most games by 11:30pm will receive $100. If there is a tie between two teams, they will play one game to decide the champion. If there is a three team tie, we will play three games to determine the champion. If there is a four team tie, we will have a playoff series to determine the champion. There must be five players per team. If any of your players are unavailable at the start of the clock, we will begin forfeit rules. Contact me only when you have five players willing to participate. Send me the team name, team roster (first and last names) and your registration fees. First ten teams that pay will be scheduled. Games will begin at 9:15pm. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!

1/20/2020Bring Your Own Team Night

On Friday, open gym will be replaced with Bring Your Own Five Night. The competing teams have all been registered and the schedules have been generated. The schedules are completely random and were created prior to any teams registered.

Games will be contested using open gym rules:

A.  Teams will be made up of no more than six players.

B.  Games can begin with any five of the six players. There will be no substitutions during the game. If a player is        unable participate in any portion of a game, the game will continue with the remaining players.

C. Player must wear the same color shirt. Teams may not wear the same color as their opponent. It is suggested       that each player bring either a reversible jersey (numbers are not required), or light and dark colored t-shirts.         Home team will wear white or light colors.

D.  Game Length: 10 minutes running clock

     1. Clock stops on all dead balls in the last minute:

          a. For 15 seconds on dead balls and non shooting fouls.

          b. For 30 seconds shooting fouls and intentional fouls.

     2. Game will continue until the clock expires

E.  Game clock will start at the scheduled time.

F.  The team listed as the home team will start with the ball first. The home team will shoot on the basket to the          right of the score clock.

G.  There will be no officials, so all fouls must be called by the offensive player. Fouls must be called when they          occur, not after the ball has been changed possession.

H.  The team that wins the most games by 12:00am will receive $200. If there is a tie between two teams, they            will play one game to decide the champion. If there is a three team tie, we will play three games to determine        the champion. If there is a four team tie, we will have a playoff series to determine the champion. Seeding            will be based on Average Margin of Victory.
